Innovation at Wentz: measurements with 3D scanner

We at Stahl-Projektbau Wentz have recently started using a 3D scanner for precise measurements on steel projects in the industrial, construction and research sectors.

With our new RTC360 3D scanner from Leica, we can quickly and extremely precisely capture your existing situations in 3D with a range of up to 130 m. With a measurement rate of up to 2 million points per second and a modern HDR image capture system, we create a colored 3D point cloud in less than two minutes.

The pre-registration of the data takes place on site (in the field). We then process the data in the office with ‘Cyclone REGISTER 360’ and then the data is transferred to the CAD world.

Based on this data, we then design and develop your project with unprecedented precision. This helps us to reduce possible collisions between the new design and the existing structure during assembly to a minimum. This saves costs and, above all, time when implementing complex projects!
